Overview

Project start date: 01.09.2024
Project end date: 31.08.2026

The Rural Impact project addresses the challenges faced by young people in rural areas, where limited job opportunities and inadequate vocational education and training (VET) increase the risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). Recognising these barriers, the project aims to enhance access to quality VET by introducing online social entrepreneurship modules, tailored to rural economies, and establishing local social enterprise incubators.

Erasmus+ Enriching lives, opening minds

Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also supports the European Pillar of Social Rights, implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and develops the European dimension in sport.
