Current HE systems are based on the 20th century system and ignore 21st century industrial and labour trends and expectations. Linear knowledge-based education is no longer sufficient to prepare engineering graduates for the future, especially given the increasing competition with robots. Engineering HE students need more interdisciplinary approach and learner centered teaching methods, providing them apart from technical knowledge, also with the skills that robots and AI cannot perform such as transversal skills and consideration for the environment.

Project Objectives
- FuturENG project’s main objective is to develop an innovative multifaceted training for the HEI engineering students and educators designed in collaboration with the industrial ecosystem aimed at ensuring future generation of engineers possess the skills, knowledge and competencies to drive digital and green transition across industries and harness the potential of emerging technologies.

FuturENG will develop and deliver:
- FuturENG Tech Esseantials MOOC for HE students
- FuturENG Challenge-based learning Toolbox for HE students
- FuturENG Training Guide & Roadmap for HE educators
- FuturENG Knowledge triangle Cooperation Methodology
Project consortium
